I have been trying to make a nice tattoo using Photoshop. It is a full-colour tattoo-design showing a dragon.
I need to extract the dragon from its white background and give it a transparent background. Using the selection by 'color range' works to remove the white background and make it transparent but it also removes the white parts in the dragon, like eyes, horns etc.
How can i solve this ?????

that transperency will not carry over into sl though. you will need to create an alpha channel as well.

unless you fill the background with a color not in the tattoo design then set that color to transparent and save it as a png file.

For future reference, this kind of question is perfect for the Texturing Tips forum: /109/1.htmlChosen Few, the alpha channel expert, has a sticky at the top of that forum: Transparency and Alpha Channels: The Definitive Guide/109/32/80851/1.htmlThis thread is incredibly informative, I highly recommend it.
