I posted here some time ago about a Kid Bot I bought from a certain vendor. I paid L$6000 Lindens some weeks ago and she has not delivered yet. She did not respond to my last enquiry. Seems like it is a scam. Be warned people. Is there anything I can do? Can RL police get involved over US$20. Stealng is stealing, right?
She had originally refused to sell me the Bot because she thought I was some guy she refused before. The whole thing was really confusing, so I contacted him. He thinks this vendor is cracked. Lol.
SL should screen people before allowing them to rip off the unsuspecting public.

The price alone is enough to red flag that in my mind as a very probable scam.
Almost nothing in SL is worth that much other than very choice land - and even that is getting rarer.
As soon as you hit the realm of 1000L up, either never buy through a pay script, or restrict it people you have reason to know will deliver, or buy it off of xstreet or slapt.me -after- examining it in world (delivery failures on xstreet get refunded, I assume slapt.me will also refuse to complete the payment if the item does not deliver and redelivery fails).

This is the vendor that sells artificial intelligence children. I recall her being overly cautious so no one used the children for bad things. Perhaps she is having some Community STandards issues with the Lindens regarding her product. I suggest an AR on this (include your transaction record) - Even though LL may not force her to repay you at least you have a record of this.
It also sounds like she may be having major server issues with controlling these devices and she does not want to explain her problems to her customer base.

From: Kokoro Fasching Just file a AR for Fraud. Let LL sort it out. this. If she has it set so ANYONE can buy it, it should deliver paid for products. You can't change your mind after the fact and not deliver, that is, indeed fraud. Report Report Report. ~Brie

I went to this place after reading about it here before. Now I find that I am on a subscribe list that I didnt subscribe to. I can only guess that they have a visitor log and added anyone who went to the store because everyone that was with me now has been added to their spam. Very shady business practices

AR the business owner for spam. Include an example of the message you were are getting. Explain that you did not click on anything just passed through the business and now they are spamming you.
The AR reason would fall under "Disturbing the peace > Repetitive Spam" or "Disturbing the peace > Unwanted advert spam"
I know people have started AR'ing the owner for this, the more people who do it the more likely LL will take some action.

This is correct, if delivery fails the purchaser has the choice of cancelling the sale and getting their money back straight away and trying again or they can wait for redelivery. At anytime they can cancel the sale until it is obviously delivered

How do you address things that are not delivered on XStreet? I had about 5 or so things that simply did not ever arrive. The people had no store in SL so I assumed they had left SL and forgot to cancel their ad.
XStreet purchases do not show on transaction histories (something I think LL might remedy, since now SL and XStreet are both their province) so what is the recourse? I did not even keep great track of what was not delivered - instead kept shopping because I was busy and had to keep going, I had a lot of things to try and look for. By then I was not sure the name of the item any more, or if it was worth worrying about - I just figured I got scrod.

the seller of the kidzbots, asuming there is only one, was on the forum a few days ago, maybe she can give her side of the story. did you send her the transaction number? it is hard for someon who gets hunderds of transactions to dig trough the transaction history to find your transaction without it.

You'd probably have to log a ticket, to get LL to investigate, though.

I went into my account transactions on this website and nothing of XStreet is listed. Melita, if you log into the XStreet webpage, not Secondlife, go into your account page after you log in (if you don't go there directly, just click on your name and you will be taken there. In the center menu you will see "My Marketplace Purchases", click on that and it will give you your transaction history.

Phew. Thanks so much. I probably have at least 1000 Lindens coming back.
Thanks again!

Just to add that some inworld vendor systems will refund if the transaction is not successful.
Having said that, I have turned mine off so that it does not auto refund. That might sound odd but the reason is quite simple.
If a delivery fails, it waits a very long time before refunding. More often than not, I see a failed delivery and if I then helpfully send the item, an hour or so later, the vendor system then refunds the money. A few received free items as a result.
Most merchants are also shoppers so while I understand the sentiment about not paying L$1000 through a scripted system, sure, if in doubt IM the creator first though some are too stuck up to bother responding, so more importantly, check for a store policy that makes you feel like a valued customer, not an utter pain in their ass!
