So I was wandering around this nice japanese sim and I notice this little booth, take a look at the sign and see its "Second Life Police @ Japan" ... curious I moved closer and see a nice poster showing thier cool flight attendant....errr... I mean Police uniforms ! Wandering around the other side I see a poster and a good example why you should *not* use google translate to make posters in languages you are not comfortable with! Finely inside the booth is a big red button, the hover text says "Only use in emergency to summon SL Police" .... I check my clock and see its 6 am in Tokyo .. and think. Should I press it and see if I can run to the sim border before they catch me? (yes I was one of those brat punks who pulled the fire alarm at school) ... Hmmm...so tempting. Ok, if I get caught will one of you come bail me out please? *press*

actually that SL police box isnt very different from the RL one.. cept in RL the button you can leave a recording.
in the small town where i grew up, a young girl ran into the police box to get away from a guy who was following her at night.. and was raped there while waiting for the push button to be answered.. our little men in blue arent really all that great. commonly found out at night stopping ppl on bicycles to check if they are stolen while studiously ignoring real (and more dangerous) crimes.

HEH! Sounds like the cops in my ex-now-not-ex-fiancee's town. After she was raped at a club on Valentines Day, & her idiot dipshit friend took her home, the local cops in her town looked at her like she was full of shit and did NOTHING. A cop in MY town pulled me over at 3 AM for not stopping at a Yield Sign. Not a single car on the road either!! I've learned LOoooooooooong ago at the age of 28- DONT trust the Frickin' Cops!!!

Ah I wondered, I've seen a few of these on various Japanese sims, and as my kana sucks majorly Ive never been able to puzzle out the posters well enough to guess what they were. This was the first one that had some english on it. Well I chickened out and didnt push the button so I dont need bail money... yet. Though it was close, one of them showed up just as I was about to press it and asked to check by bike to see if it had been copybotted!

(and then put them back) because he stopped me for no reason. Was a great way to destress... i then lectured him for about 40 minutes on the laws regarding temporary car licence plates. he even thanked me afterwards
