I have updated the open source SLCP (Second Life Clothing Preview) software with some new features Added support for JPG and PNG files Added camera hot buttons for numerous pre-defined views showing seem edges Moved toolbar into main window so it no longer gets lost when task switching Fixed camera moving after no longer moving mouse Switched to using frameworks for reduced executeable size by removing un-used linked modules Updated again: Changed the rotation system so that the program is more easy to use Fixed hotbuttons panel when resizing the window so that they keep their correct position http://www.bansheestudios.com/files/slcp_win.zipSorry this is in the wrong place, i'm having trouble posting for some odd reason.

isn't this by Johan Durant? and this should be in texturing tips. Maybe you can put it on the stickied SLCP thread.
edit: nvm, I'm reading Johan's thread and he made this open source...

Thanks for updating SLCP, Bekka! It is an invaluable tool I've been using for some time. The previous version still works fine; I'm looking forward to trying this new version.

From: Ralektra Breda isn't this by Johan Durant? Yes, and his credit is all still in place etc, I just updated it. tbh i'm tempted to just rewrite the whole thing as the code is very procedural which meant I had to apply the PNG/JPG fix into it in half a dozen places and i've still some ideas for new features. From: someone and this should be in texturing tips. Maybe you can put it on the stickied SLCP thread. I tried, I had trouble posting there it kept saying I cannot access /topicReply.php or newThread.php. So I posted here.

I am considering making the software automatically reload textures when they are updated instead of having a reload button, can I ask existing users of this software whether they like the manual refreshing and use it at all? I know the way I work automatically reloading textures that have been updated would be better, but I dont want to remove manual reloading if some people preffer it with the way they work. Yours views are appreciated before I implement it

Thanks Bekka, great update! I'm loving the new hot buttons. I always found the camera a bit fiddly so these are a major improvement. Is it possible to add a new zoom in/out feature using the mouse wheel? Dec oh, and thanks to Johan for making SLCP opensource

That's a great idea, i'd never have thought of it owing to my mouse wheel being broken heh, but when i'm home later i'll knick the mouse off my laptop and get that coded in, along with the texture refreshing update. I'll adjust the arm hotbuttons too because I think the seems are front/back rather than top/bottom.

I personally would vote against the auto-refresh. I like to stare at what I've done, then click to see the new version, and I can register the changes with my eyes. Thanks for this!

well i am glad you posted in the wrong thread myself hehehe..i use it and it's a great tool.. i keep checking there for updates but it's nice to see this tool get a bit more attention..
i would make it an option for manual or auto reload..i know i like to reload them myself but i'm sure someone would like the auto reload option too..
i love the hot buttons added also..very nice =)

I now seem to be able to post in the texturing section so I wont update this thread any more. I have put out a new version with mouse zooming and with adjustments to the arm hot buttons to view them front & back rather than top & bottom. I dont know if I will do the texture auto-loading, i'd let to get back to having cyber-sex now, or whatever it is I do when i'm in IM's and ignoring everyone. If I do any more i'll post in the official SLCP thread (now that it lets me) /109/47/141938/15.html#post2269481
