This is a terrible loss.

My apologies, but I do not know who this is - what was she known for in SL? I can see from the brief glance at the SLU board she was very loved. Condolences to those who will miss her- it is a sadness to loose a friend.

She was a motivating force in Neualtenburg (now Neufreistadt) and founder of Port Neualtenburg. She also helped a lot of really notable people in SL get their start.

I only knew her from SLU, and was not aware of her voice over accomplishments in the Anime world. She was a great poster, a genuine tough New York Broad,. She will be missed.

I've had the pleasure of meeting Kendra in RL and working with her on Second Life projects. She was a delight to know and will be sorely missed.

As it happens, she is also quite famous in the Anime/Pokemon community because of her voiceover work for Meowth. They are also mourning her passing.

I remember when Kendra told me she did the voice for Meowth.. that was years ago and she asked me to keep it quiet. This is the first i'm acknowledging it since then..

She will be missed, even if i hadn't spoken with her recently.

Me as well. She was someone I met some time ago in SL during some of the first issues with TOS and kid avvies (the "notecard" policy). She had a kid avvie, too, but she did't use 'er much. Nice person.

This isn't the first time my other interests have intersected Second Life, but it's one of the more unexpected. I've followed animation and been interested in animators and voice actors for many years.

Many of you knew her as the leader of the Neualtenburg community. She was also the voice talent of Meowth on Pokemon, a stand-up comedian and wrote very humorous articles for Weekly World News. Someone who brought joy to millions.

I'm absolutely shocked by this news and hardly know what to say. Usually I choose my words carefully and slowly but this is not such a time.

We are here together for such a short time, and when life is done, our legacy is written.

Kendra brought joy to so many millions, in so many ways - through laughter and ingenious humour in print, on the screen, and here with us also.

It's the little things. A smile as we pass the grocery checkout, or delight in our children's eyes seeing a beloved character - or a bit of fun on a forum. It's all the difference between a grey, pointless existence scrapping for material needs, and a bit of hope for the spirit.

Such a creative and generous mind, too. The world has lost a great deal; the last items on her blog supported the Relay for Life charity effort.


I shall ensure her memory lives on in Caledon's community.

i don't think i had ever met kendra, but i read her of course here in forum. and knew just from her posts, lol that i loved her!! ;0 i think we shared many of the same fiery feelings and beliefs in justice... i think we would have agreed that you would never, ever, -ever- meet someone you would agree with 100% of the time... lol that figuring out your own 'personal percentage acceptance rate' was all that you had to work with... ;0

i don't think i had ever met kendra, but she had 'the spark' of creativity and wit; her greatest loves, truth and happiness; her greatest weakness, the prankstress who simply couldn't resist spinning a good yarn or conversational spiral staircase rollercoaster all her own, leaving others far behind in the dust... ;0

i don't think i had ever met kendra, but if i had, i would not have called her 'kendra'... i would have called her 'sister.' (she of course would have had to be the 'big sis', and i would have felt very, very small in comparison...)

i'd never really thought of it before; i've met so few of all of you i've read and respected and trusted in forum... now, just once, i wish i'd met her. just to even say 'hi, i've read you in forum!! :0 i love you...'
