I'm looking for a dance attachment which would enable me to invite a partner to dance - anywhere. Ideally: 1) when worn, it should rez a poseball which my partner then could click on. 2) it would have either hud or voice commands to select different dances. 3) it should be adjustable for different avatar dimensions. Does anyone know of such a product?

Abranimations Couples HUD offers a Slow Dance and a Tango (or is it Salsa?) as part of the system. It doesn't rez poseballs, and they aren't adjsutable (though you can turn left/right to adjsut a bit for direction). I actually like this better as you don't need parcel Build on to use it, and you don't leave clutter of poseballs if you crash or simply forget.
If you're looking for just dances (not couples dances) then any dance chimera will work. HUDDLES also makes a HUD driven dance chim, but I'm not sure if it can effect others (I don't own it). There are lots of dance makers for chims out there, so looking around a bit is the best advice.
I'd suggest Searching for "chimera", "chim", or "dances" and just look at the products.

Yes, I have one coming from "RENDEZVOUS". Type it in the search and you'll find it. Have fun.

This is pretty interesting. As Jessica pointed out, the poseball approach wouldn't work on no-build parcels, but otherwise it is very do-able--I just don't know if anybody has done it. I'm gradually coming to the view that we should really have a single attachment that does AO and couples animations and dance chimera... and this pseudo-poseball rezzing thing would be a natural and easy extension. If this already exists, then I won't have to build it!

I went to a shop the other day that was behind a waterfall in the middle of a wood. It had three floors and on the top floor you could buy 64 dances (poseballs) for L$1. I bought it and have been using them in places where you can put them down.
If anybody viewing this thread knows where this waterfall shop is (I can't remember - sorry) perhaps they could name it.

Hi Keava,
I think I may have seen something along the lines of what you're looking for at the Motion Merchant, but I'm not 100 percent sure. If not: Qie, I'd buy one!
@Sandy I'll get back to you about that one, my brain is a bit fuzzy at the mo, but I think I knkow where you mean.

Try HUDDLES by Keiki Lemeux. It's a HUD/AO/Dance attachment that allows you to load dances, specify what dances you want to do via notecard, invite others to dance (up to 8 or 10 I think?), load a bunch of AO poses and specify which ones you want to do (i.e. casual, modeling, silly, etc.) You can even make someone else pose in the chosen stand/sit pose. It's costs just a bit more than a deluxe AO, but it's so worth it for the flexibility, plus you can get a copy version so you can have multiple HUDs with different uses, and it comes with free updates (No, not a friend of Keiki's nor do I work for her, this is just a great product )

Or is a pose ball intrinsically different and recognized as such by the area? Regarding availablility, I have now searched pretty thoroughly and the only thing that comes close is a product called Rendevous. It has the rezz in non-build limitation, and also - strangely - an altitude restriction!! So Qie!! Looks like SOMEONE should build this!!!

From: Keava Vita mm..thinking a bit more about this...we can rezz clothing in non-build areas, could the pose ball not be rezzed as part of an outfit? Or is a pose ball intrinsically different and recognized as such by the area? Clothing is part of the Avatar Mesh. The system takes the picture of the clothes, and that of yoru skin, and basically makes a new picture which it places on your mesh as a "new" skin. Attachtments (prims you wear), can also be Worn in NoBuild areas, but no other avatar can use them, as they are seen as part of your avatar body. So if they try to sit on a poseball you have Worn, they only get the pie menu as if they clicked on your avatar (which they did). Torley Linden had mentioned a new feature in the works several months ago. I can't remember the details, but it did involve "touch points" where it would enable avatars to shake hands (the hand shake was the example used in Torley's post). I'm not sure on the status of that feature, or if it's even still in the works. And I'd be careful buying a product that claims it can rez in a NoBuild area. That would be an exploit of the system, and something LL would patch up once they became aware of it (eventually). ~Jessy
