Ok, I give up on getting help from the Hippo-Tech people. Their support is as bad as LL's. I will try here.

I have my tier boxes set for payment terms of 4 weeks minimum - 8 weeks max. They are all set exactly the same in that only basic config information is loaded from each box, then the rest is loaded remotely from a server on the island.

However, my boxes, while identically config'd, all offer different payment terms when someone tries to pay.

For example. Lets say my tier is 1000 a week:

Some boxes offer payment terms of only 4000 (which reflects the 4 weeks minimum). Then some boxes offer payment terms of 4000, and 5000 (4 weeks and 5 week). Yet other boxes offer options of 4000/5000/6000 & 7000 ( 4 through 8 weeks).

My boxes are all out of synch with each other and I can't figure out why. My residents get confused, and just today I had a resident who wanted to re-up for 2 months but didn't because "all that was offered was 4 weeks".

This sucks. Appreciate any help anyone can offer...

Are all of the config notecards identical?... including the order of the lines...

Note: anything AFTER the remote load line in the internal config is not read.

Andy has always been as responsive as possible. Did you try dropping a notecard, or were you on the group IM among the rest of the blind?

Also you need to be specific about your setup. What version? Web enabled boxes? Non-web?

Nothing is listed after the remote line, and yes, all notecards are identical with the exception of rental box names, and various pricing :(

I have heard how helpful he is but then why does he never help me? This is my fourth request for help in almost a year of using his product and he has only responded to me once.

Yes, I dropped a notecard in both his profile, and his "tech guy's" profile

I was on version 3 experiencing this, I then went and updated all the boxes to version 4, thinking that would cure my problem - it didn't. and no, I didn't go web...

Here is how each rental card reads:

// Change these settings to configure the rental box. Lines that begin with // are comments. Don't alter text in capitals.

// SERVER

SERVER KEY: XXXXXXXXX
PASSWORD: XXXXXXXXX
PICTURE: Pic 01

// BASIC SETTINGS

NAME: Lot 3
PRICE PER WEEK: 1750
MIN WEEKS: 4
MAX WEEKS: 8
PRIMS: Parcel Allowance
NOTECARD NAME: Covenant

LOAD REMOTE: IslandConfig

I am sure there is something that I am doing wrong but I am at a loss as to what that is...........

Do you have more than 1 config card in the box by mistake?

the cards look fine, just rezzed a copy of mine and i can`t see anything wrong in them

try loading 2 boxes with the normal notecard and see if it behaves as it should (merge the rental+island as 1), if it goes fine, something goes bad between requesting and loading the notecard, if something goes wrong, it should say it found an error in the settings

Granted I am strickly a small time Hippo user, but I have rental properties with different prices and I have no issues with getting the Hippo Box to work. Basically I do not have a generic prices in the server config file. The prices for each property are in the own property specific config files. I'd have to look again to see what is in the server config file, but it is pretty much just generic info.
