I have invited a person to my group to give them control of a parcel of land they are renting off me, they have joined the group and have the group title but are not showing as group members and do not appear to have the full group powers I have given them. Any info much appreciated.

Have they accepted yet? If not, they aren't yet a member.

On the bottom left of the group window for you is a 'refresh' button. Hit that.

Is there something I'm not doing, I can't give control of the land through the group, I have given officer powers but the renter still can't change the parcel name.

Open the group info, and navigate to the Members and Roles tab.

Within that, choose the 'Roles' tab. Find the one you want to have that power, and select it in the list. The bottom right of the window now has listed 'allowed abilities'. Check marks means those abilities are allowed. In the 'Parcel Identity' section of this list is 'Change parcel name, description, and (For me it gets cut off here.)

This is what you want. I recommend you go through that entire list and check for other things you want them to have power over. Also, a new role for 'renter' may be useful is you want some people to have the normal 'officer'' abilities, and renters to have more or less abilities.

can't understand it, I've checked all the boxes and still the renter doesn't have control, I'v even tried it with my alt on the same settings and it doesn't work with that.

Are you absolutly sure that you deeded the land to group, and did not just set it to group?

simple I know, but it has not been covered yet.

OK. They've probably still got the 'everyone' tag set.

Have THEM open group options, and on the right side of the window is a drop down with their usable titles in it. Have them select the officer title.

ETA:: Also, what Dante said.
