I just rented a land. But it says the owner is "Something Something" (yes, his name is that). I can't do anything at all on the land I just rented - sure I can build, but that's it. I have friends who rented land in the same neighbourhood. And when she did, it says on that land area that she is the owner. I want that too, as an example.
I want it to be in my name when in searches etc, not "Something Something".
And more...

How long have you given the owner to answer your query though? Just a few minutes? Or days?

How long has it been since you rented it? You may need to wait for the owner to log on, he may have to add you to a group so you can make the most of your land. I'd wait for them to get back to you, there's probably nothing that anyone other than the owner of the land can help you with.

Was there a rental box? If so does a notecard come up if you click on it? That is normally the case (not always). Did you read the notecard if you received one? That usually tells you what you should do. As Larbon said, it frequently involved adding you to a group, which can take time depending on when the owner logs in.
I don't know many people who are logged in 24/7

Hi Larbon,
These are things only the owner can help you with really. Like others have said, it could take a couple of days before they get back to you. Also..... might be worth dropping a notecard on the owner with your questions in, just in case their IMs get capped.

You have rented land at the CLOTHES sim overnight and I believe Mickey Heaney, a Sim City Manager has assisted you in acquiring the land you wanted to use. I have seen your build in world prior to seeing your thread here so it looks like you have been taken care of.
