How often (honestly) do you edit your posts due to content, typos, or regret?

Basically to correct typos, spelling or unlcear language only.

If I have said something wrong I use another post.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Typos definitely. I generally don't retract anything I say, preferring to use a new statement.

Content: whenever I find something that needs correcting
Typos: when I've had too much to drink
Regret: almost never.. I've learned to walk away instead of jumping up and down on people, screaming "whiny little bitch!!"

What Meade said. I tend to obsess over spelling - but I'm getting better.

Exactly. That was one of my 'unspoken' reasons I should have listed in the first post. I do this too.

Lol...I've edited this small post three times. I want to add (again)...should I edit my first post and add this...that would be ironic.

What I don't understand is how I can stare at a preview, obsessing over making it correct (for once) before pressing "submit", yet invariably find something wrong the instant I see it posted.

90% of the time its a typo or an extra word or whatnot.
occasionally i make a comment then think better of it.

I see no pie option.

I fix every so often. Usually for bad typos, but sometimes to add a further thought.

I call them typos, but I am often fixing things like turning "thing" into "think" ...no idea why I mess up words like that, but I do it a LOT. That, and I type really fast and seem to miss a key on the keyboard (Ive used backspace about 20 times already to fix that in this post alone) and if I miss em, edit edit edit. :o

I'm a perfectionist, and it bugs me when I see I misspelled something in a post. But I'm also a lousy typist. Fairly fast, but my fingers don't always do quite what I intended. So probably 70% of my posts, I go back and fix a few typos.

Rarely do I edit for content, however, other than to add a few more sentences to clarify a point.

Removing something for reasons of 'regret'? Seldom, if ever. I do think carefully with regards to the opinions that I express, and therefore rarely have any reason to retract a statement. If such occasions do occur, I make a new post acknowledging my error, and may, at most, include a link or pointer in the original post indicating that I have revised my opinion.

I've edited a few for typos and some because they were too long. I tend to babble if left unchecked.

I normally think very carefully before posting too. I have gone back for clarifiation though I cant even imagine what my post count would be if I had posted every one of them I have written! I often re-read them and decide sometimes its best not to say anything at all.

To bad there are some others that dont do that hehe
