My face is gone!

Hello, since I upgraded today my face is gone
Can this be fixed?

Maybe talk to the guy who suddenly has God Mode. Actually that happens to me sometimes when Lag is heavy. usually it comes back in a minute or two. But it may be related to the update, so I'd wait and see. Something tells me there will be some monkeys banging on things quite soon.

I've seen that exact effect too. If I go into 'Edit Appearance' mode I look normal and others say I look fine, but I can't see it - to me the head is greyed out as if rezzing when the effect happens.

It does seem to clear itself up if you wait.

my body is distorted as well . all avis I look at are that way. no faces, distorted bodies and all other things look ok such as plants, buildings, etc. It seems only avis are the problem I have and well water. Water looks like mud. I have pictures I can share to show the problem and I also sent a bug report in. This happened during the optional dl previous to the mandatory. I had to uninstall the version and was fine. Now that its mandatory I cant uninstall. Can anyone help? Ths is most annoying.

Edit / Preferences - Graphics Detail: uncheck Avatar Vertex Program

This is called Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD). Although it may seem like it at times, I assure you that you are not alone. BDD affects 1% - 2% of the general population, but there is help. I promise that there is light at the end of this tunnel.

Im not sure if I had the same problem but it might help so Ill post it here anyway..My textures got all messed up as well, looked fine in edit appearance though..After searching the knowledgebase I learned the following tips and for me they fortunately worked.

-Enter edit appearance and chance some of the sliders slightly, like head size, body size etc. save and exit..

-press ctrl-alt-d to bring up the client menu...then character---rebake textures
and wait a couple of secs for it to update.

As I said, I dont know if this applies to you but it did help me out.

rebake textures fixed it for me. Thanks for posting that.

contrary to popular belief, the lindens are -not- included in wikipedia's "famous recluses" list. just awfully busy folk... and considering the 'lord of the flies' aspect to the forums, i'm sure they're often reticent to dip their toes in here anymore.
