Scheme to locate name doesn't work.

In a previous thread I asked how to locate a creator's name. Logical answer was: right click on object; select edit, click on more' etc. This doesn't work. The object in question is a skin. If I click on the avatar wearing it I just get the routine pie menu with Go, Groups, Profile, etc. If I go back into the inventory and click on the skin there I get a pie menu with edit and if I click on the edit it takes me into appearances. The skin comes in a folder with a couple of other things, and if I click on that folder there isn't any edit. I am totally scuzzed out. Help!

If you right-click on that folder in your inventory, one of the options that comes up should be Properties. Click on that, and voila! You should see the creator of the item (among other things).

For items in your inventory........you can always look at the 'properties' selection to see the details, such as original creator and permissions~!! I do this ALL the time when I want to go back to a place and buy something from the same creator......say a shirt I really liked.......but I can't recall where I got it (sometimes it's apparent in the name of the item, but often it's not)
Anyway......properties is a very handy tool when you need to get info on a spacific item~!!!

unless of course the 'creator' copied another skin file, threw in their texture, and set next owner permissions... then it shows the person that created the file, but not the person that created the skin texture....

(yes it's a silly mistake that few people make any more, but you used to see it a lot on old stuff)
