My gf has gave me mod rights, but it still doesnt let me.
I gave her mine and it she can. But she gave me rights, but I cant.

She said that when she clicked the box in friends with my name, it didnt ask her if she was sure. Just let her.

It would make things a lot easier since we have a house together.

If there is a checkmark showing in the grayed out column on the right of her name in the friends list, then the system is showing that you do, indeed, have mod rights. If not, have her do it again.

Also, check the Tools menu and see if Select Only My Objects is turned on. If it is, try turning it off and see if you have better luck.

This is a lot more boring than the thread title would suggest.

I had my hopes up, you know. Why would you WANT to modify your girlfriend's things? And just what things did you have in mind? *leers and waggles her eyebrows suggestively*

I had this same problem before, usually if you check the checkmark next to "All anyone to modify" that should solve it or she can also try checking the box next to modify under "Allow next owner to"

I have similar problems modifying my clients' dance balls. They give me permission to modify their objects. Then when I open the dance balls, I cannot open the notecards inside to modify them.

This is because the note cards themselves need to have the correct permissions set, just like scripts etc.

Those notecards are usually full perms, but I will double-check that next time.

See the JIRA mentioned in post #2 above -- it is specifically discussing the issue of not being able to modify notecard and scripts inside of objects that you have been given permission to modify.

Well, I can think of a thing or two that I wouldn't mind someone helping me modify.

Lear, Yosef, Ghosty ?????????????

If the poseballs are deeded to group, then the notecards need to have "share with group" checked on them, otherwise no-one can open them.

You might also want to check and make sure that the object isn't locked.

Oh yeah - I am very bad about this one cuz I always lock my objects to keep myself from accidently messing things up.

Well when I go into my friends list and by her name, where it has the selections like "able to see me online, know where I am, Let user mod my objects, user lets me mod their objects" well it isnt check in the last one. She says she has checked it, however when she checks it, it doesnt give her the thing that says "are you sure"

So it isnt showing that she has checked it even after she checks it.

I find that very strange. This is just bouncing a ball off the wall, but she may want to clear her cache then give it another try.
