New skin for 2008

My new years resolution for 2008 is to acquire a new skin (female). I'm confused by photorealistc v's drawn skins and even hybrid skins. I would like a collection of skins ranging from pale to dark tanned with a variety of makeup options. Can anybody help...all suggestions welcomed. xxx Denise

Denise, go and shop FREE skin.....4 different skintones, all makeups, 2 brow options with every skintone. Knock your self out!

Edit: the makeups shown in the blog is just some of them. It's 7 makeups with every skintone. Amazing! And both with freckles and without freckles. I don't know how long it will last before the designer takes them away. But she sold packs for 200 Linden before (yes, 200 NOT 2000) so she is just a saint in SL.

My suggestion is that everyone has a favorite skin shop. They're so numerous that to start naming them here gets a little crazy. What you should do is buy demo skins by the dozens. Just collect a bunch of them then find a comfortable private place where you can stand around naked and look through all of the demos, in varying lighting conditions, to find out what effect you like the best. Try the little shops; don't stick to just the big names. There are many many wonderful designers out there that have gorgeous skins; the lesser known the artist, the lower the chance that you'll run across someone that looks just like you someday (yeah I know shape is everything, but skins are important too!)
