I believe this last client release was manitory, I don`t believe you can go back to the early clients. Like prevoice cliens.

You can get older versions but you will have to compile them yourself:

I'm using 1.18.2 on the Mac not because I don't want to download the new version but because I've downloaded it and the puter refuses to use it..so I just use the old version.

Some day soon SL will announce I can't log in as I'm using the old vesion..that's when you'll see my thread requesting advice on how to get it to work.

Perre :D
see u soon then....

Ouch

Yep I spent my couple of months compiling it myself a year ago. But I just stay too busy helping in the scripting forums and I leave the compiling to the people that can actually read the code now. I will say that I use the Nicolaz viewer exclusively in the MG thou now and it rocks!

Just to be clear, you don't have to compile Nicholaz's pre-voice viewers to make them work. You just download SL's original pre-voice viewer, then basically load Nick's on top of it. His most recent pre-voice release was on Oct. 7th: http://nicholaz-beresford.blogspot.com/2007/10/release-old-school-os-o.html He has a link to the most recent SL pre-voice viewer as well.

However, if what you are after is the previous layout of the Communicate window, all of Nick's viewers have that, voice ("bleeding edge";) or not ("oldschool";). Most recent bleeding edge:
