I had a question about inventories and things disappearing..lately i have lost two gowns that i paid a fortune for and now they are not in my inventory at all and i did not delete them. What could be causing me to lose items do inventories have limits before things disappear?

Have you tried clearing cache?
Sometimes, clearing cache, logging out for a good 10 minutes and logging back in brings back the objects.

Dumb question, but is there any chance the folders with those two gowns got moved into other folders? (which is something I do all the time)

If you can recall some portion of the names of the gowns, have you searched for that word or words?

You might want to give these ideas a try which includes clearing your cache and logging on into the beta grid:

If none of that works, you can file a support ticket and ask them to run an inventory restart/fix on your account and that you've already tried all the steps in the above link. Good luck!

PS You can still request an inventory restart/fix even if you're a basic account. It would be under the following drop down windows: Special questions - Basic or Guest Account > There was an item in my inventory window and it is no longer working or missing

my bf had lost over 1,000,000L worth of items. There are even priceless things he can't get back. We are trying what we can to get back what he lost, but he has done every technique in the book. He is trying one last thing. If all is lost, we told him to ask the designers he remembers getting stuff from and I am sure they'd understand.

But our theory is that due to LL's recent actions to SLX, someone dropped a virus and crashed a server.
