i remember when SL came out if we went to prem account useage we got 500L as a bonus do they still offer anything like that my born date is 7/16/2006

A friend of mine whose rez date was in 2006 recently went premium for the first time and he says he is getting L$500 stipend.

NOTE: the knowledge base actually states that WHEN you go premium is when it counts... so I'd consider the current loophole (creation date before, never went premium till now) a bug that might get fixed at any time. It's possible they left that to fill the original contract obligations, and just don't advertise it, but with being able to modify the TOS at will, they could easily eliminate that clause, and force it down to the current levels.

The bonus to sign up for premium was actually 2500 Lindens and 500 Lindens a week stipend back in early 2006. I went premium with my first account in October, 2005. I got the 2500 plus "first land" at $L1 per meter for 512. That put nearly 2000 in my pocket plus the 500 a week.........pretty good deal back then.

It is also possible that you don't really know what their intent is by leaving it this way. They might leave it this way for a completely different reason and not consider it a bug, but perhaps a documentation error. After all they say a lot of things in the knowledge base that are at best misleading or at worst completely wrong and have been for years. If a person thinks it is a risk, pay monthly, then they can stop anytime.
