OK, I got a netbook to take to work to use for SL. When I was trying to set up my Preferences, I decided to change my UI size to make it better for the small screen. I've managed to change the UI to 1.325 which is HUGE and not practical.
The problem is that now when I go to Preferences to change it back, my APPLY button is below my viewing area and just closing the screen doesn't apply the changes.
I also can't drag and raise the Preference window up in order to hit APPLY.
Does anyone know of a way to fix this?
Thanks.

Can you log in from another machine that can handle this setting and change it back from there?

Yes, I can when I get home, but I thought maybe there's some way to do it while I'm at the office.
Thanks.

If your able try to hit the button next to minimize, you should be able to resize the window by dragging on the sides of it. Hopefully this will help you access the buttons you need to get to.

View menu. Last item is "Set UI size to default".
OR
Preferences, Graphics tab, check "Run Second Life in a window", and choose a small window size, like 640 x 480.

just to let you know there is a free software available called moveme... when enabled you can move every window with the arrow keys while holding down the windows button... extremly useful for netbooks... works on every window and in every four directions... can be found here: http://www.heise.de/software/download/ddwl63317

From: Brann Georgia Can you log in from another machine that can handle this setting and change it back from there? Would this help? I thought the preferences were machine specific.

From: someone Can you log in from another machine that can handle this setting and change it back from there? The viewer settings are stored on a particular machine, so logging on to another comp won't help! I know because I use 3 different comps for SL If all else fails, try downloading the SL viewer from this website again, and you''ll probably find the UI's are set at default size.
