hello all, this is my first post so please be easy on me if these are a couple of dumbass questions!
first off i used to be able to go into preferences etc..check whether i wanted friend notifications etc...if i wanted home or previous locations..etc etc. Now that option is missing. Have read clearing my cache is helpful for loads of probs but can't do that either with my preferences gone?

If you are talking about before you log in, they removed the button from the bottom. Look under the edit menu.

This is from memory so I may be off a little.
From the menu, Edit > Preferences
Near the top of I *think* the first tab, there is a check box
[ ] Show Start Location
Something to that affect. Check that box and the location choice will be there again. I believe you can do this at the login screen before you are actually in world.
