Hey, I was wondering if there is a place where people share SL sculpt textures with others. Like a sculptie gallery where people submit models to the community anyone can download and use.

Sadly, I'm not aware of one and a search of Sculpt in world leaves a lot to be desired...

No, but there are a ton of freebie sculpt maps. THe problem with sharing them is that people spend alot of time making each one, and textures specifically to match a lot of the time. There is a market for sculpties, and giving something away that takes a lot of effort can be a bad idea, and someone else may start selling your high quality maps. There are a lot of freebies, but for really good ones.. you usually won't find them being shared. Sometimes though...sometimes _____________________

There is one in the SL wiki. You can add yours there, *or* just start your own pages in the WIKI and put them there.

You must visit the Second Louvre Museum. It's not a place to share sculpties, but it is a marvelous showcase of what can be done with sculpties. Sorry I don't have a landmark. I believe it's in Tomson, or Thompson, or Tompson. LOL Anyway...search should bring it up. |

Thank you for that link, that helps a little. Yeah that makes sense, even though some modeling programs actually have a sharing field where users share what they model one with another.
For example, I use blender to make sculpties when I make any. And for blender there is this page http://e2-productions.com/repository/modules/PDdownloads/ where people share what they build. The only problem is that I can't convert them into sculpt textures because opening a saved file with Blender overrides the SL template/interface used to make sculpt textures from the model ![]() |

The Heron Island Sandbox has some free Sculpties.
I am not associated with Heron Island and I and not getting any benefit from posting this information. "G" _____________________

Actuall, yes.
In the forum maim directory look for GALLERIES > Show Us Your Sculpteis! although there are numerous 'Prim Builds' displayed in there... A true sculptie is a 3D model created Independant of the build button found in your SL HUD, _____________________

SculptyPaint and this other program called MathSculpt (not sure if its exactly but its math something) has preset shapes you can use.
Rokuro is pretty easy. And there is some things in the guide that help you make specific shapes. _____________________

Graphicguru, where exactly is that page, I couldn't find it from the forum. And thanks for the names FD, I wouldn't mind other applications more easy to use then blender.

Its ok, and thank you very much
![]() [edit] I see people only post screenshots there. What I was looking for are sculpt textures to use on prims. Ill keep looking in other places though or if not, make another topic or a proposal for such a gallery. |

Just be careful of any sculpty packs you buy, sad to say after over 7mths in SL, Last month I finally made a bad buy.
Was looking at sculpty packs for a particular shape and found it listed in one, so in my excitement I bought the pack, however I wasnt paying attention and it turned out to be a pile of 1-3 prim junk items. The cost wasn't great but my embarisment at being so foolish was, still it was my only my 2nd mistake purchasing in all that time, so I count myself lucky. |
