assess to IM's

If I am not in world, how can I reply to IM's received? My computer is down, and I don't want to load SL on the family computer while it's in the shop, but would like to be able to respond to IM's I received. I know someone did this once out of world while I was in world, so I was wondering how.

If you have your IM forwarded to your email you can response directly to the email. SL will strip your personal information and it will appear to the person you are responding to that it's a regular IM. You can turn on this feature from the SL main website www.secondlife.com My Account on the top right, then Contact Info (right side about 1/3 way down) Click "I would like to receive offline IMs via Email"
