Hi, I would like to know if any of you can help me. I don't know who else to ask. I was in Village Forest, there was too much lag and I got freezed so I logged off. When I tried to log in again I couldn't because I was already there!!! I receive many messages from inworld asking me to go away from the door I'm at and telling me things so I guessed that I was still there. I created a new avatar, went there and saw my old avatar there standing at the door...weird. I asked the owner to bann me , he did so but with no result. Can any of you tell me what to do?? I would appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.

If pushing you around or sending you IMs doesn't unstick your avatar in a case like that, it usually takes a restart of that sim to unstick you. You might ask the owners of the sim if they would oblige.

One thing you can do: Power down your computer and reboot all modems/routers the computer connects to. It's a stray connection that hasn't been let go of by something.

Thanks in advance. well just don't say beatlejuice three times whatever you do!! seriously just try to log into a sim you know the name of other than the one you are in..this is an old glitch and sometimes that works or jump on an alt and see if that triggers it.. most times logging into a different sim is what worked for me in this glitch i would say 95% of the time |

I've heard of this happening before.....I think eventually it resolves itself and your 'ghost' will log off but I'm not entirely sure. Someone out there knows more because this issue has come up in the forums......hang in there. Perhaps submit a ticket on it....something is hanging up the log out process and LL can probably correct it. But....other folks probably can offer more insight on this.......  |

But....other folks probably can offer more insight on this....... yes it will in time log you off..i remember back in 2006 when people were staying logged in for 6 or more hours..then someone came up with something that worked which was logging into islands..most of it was people that were on mainland and crashed or logged off there and could not get back.. it still happens anywhere now but i haven't heard of it lasting that long..mine will stay logged in sometimes 30 minutes maybe more at times.. |

The safest thing to do is ask for a sim reboot.
I've had it happen to me and my alt, and I could not log in to either of them for over a week, until my friends found out where my avatars where. All tricks like send IM, pay a dollar etc did not work. But once I knew where the avs were it was fixed in both cases immediately after a sim reboot.
I found a ghost av on my land once, and asked LL to reboot. That worked for him as well.
