I have no idea what 'Mono' is on here but it's killed a vendor that I was using, and likely the reason my SLX Box refuses to work.

Is there a work around, and are all SIMs affected? Is there an easy way to tell which SIMs are affected?

Proper name for it - Mono is a terrible disease.

have a look in the scripting forum, there are issues,
best is to contact the creator and ask them

Creator blamed Mono for the issues.

And, yes, hopefully the update will fix it! Gosh, aren't I one of the lucky ones to have broken stuff? ;)

Thanks for the replies! =)

I'm confused. It's been my understanding that old lsl scripts aren't changed under the new mono engine. And that's been my experience. Tho I HAVE managed to break things by recompiling them tho.

More than likely, the issue affecting your vendor is the Email issue with Mono, discussed in the Rolling Restart thread for Mono.

Essentially, the llEmail() function (which many vendors use) is bugged with the new Mono server, and will fail if the email trying to be sent has anything in the subject line.

This is a huge, showstopping issue, and Linden is apparently working on a fix for this week. More details can be found at: http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-2938

This is not a script issue per se, but a *server* issue. That's why this fails regardless of whether scripts are compiled under LSL or Mono.

There currently is NO direct workaround, other than changing scripts to not put a subject line in their emails :(

"in theory"...

The same ideal was that vehicles and other aspects of SL wouldn't be negatively affected by Havoc 4. And framerates wouldn't suffer from Windlight.

Things often don't go quite as planned.

There's a showstopper bug currently that has killed many vendors, and it has nothing to do with Mono:

Note that this bug (while indeed particularly nasty) only affects folks running the RC Viewer.
