Capture and stream video

Is it possible to capture video from SL, and simultaneously stream the captured video back into SL?

If so, how?

Yes, it's possible. But it's rather clunky to do so. You can use FRAPS to capture, and then direct your video to another app such as Wirecast, which will in turn stream the video back into SL.

But...you'll need a pretty strikingly heavy-duty hardware setup. You'll be running the SL client, Fraps, and your streaming app all at the same time. Which for most mid-level PC's would make them barf their electronic cookies all over the place.

And...you need a pretty solid connection/modem. You'll be both downloading and uploading at the same time, sucking up a pretty enormous chunk of your personal bandwidth.

I've gone from using any hardware to capture, to sending my monitor output to an external video switcher, and streaming that signal to my capturing platform or streamcaster.
