Hi, I was thinking of upgrading my account. Now I have read when i have a premium acount the first 512 m² want be charged, but when i go to the landbuy page and calculate its say 512 m² = 5 US$. What does that exactly mean? Premium account 9,95 US$ plus 5 US$ per month for the "free" Land?. A bit confused here.
Thanks for anny Info

A Premium account does indeed get to own 512 tier-free as a "bonus". It's the next 512 (for a total of 1024) that costs US$5/mo. Adding a third 512 means you have to pay the monthly fee for 1024, for a total of 1536sq.m. owned. And etc., with that "bonus" 512 always tier-free.

The page can be a bit confusing. The first 512 of mainland you purchase is included with your premium fee. If you were to buy another 512 it would cost $5, and you would have 1024m of land. This scheme continues as you purchase more land.
In reality it makes it possible to hold an additional 512 of land and more importantly 117 prims over the stated tier rates. For example if you decided to hold 4096m @ $25 a month, you could actually look for a parcel with a square meterage of 4608, which would max out your avaliable holdings at no extra cost.
Also take a look at paying for premium on a quarterly or yearly basis as it gets considerably cheaper, making the current 300 linden a week stipend an almost complete offset, depending on where you live and exchange rates.

You have to pay a one time charge for the first 512 sq.m. parcel; the "purchase price" is not included in the premium fees. Land's cheap these days, though.

That tier-free 512 is a pretty good deal. Having only 117 prims to work with is pretty challenging, but it can be done if you shop well. LL should really update that section to make it clear that you still have to purchase the land but there is no monthly tier on it (the tier is the real cost of ownership, it can add up frighteningly fast.)
