Here I go again, after only 3 months I am at my prim limit again.1875 on my plot with 1 to spare and 200 next door which I rent With 6 left.
! don,t want to expand anymore my summer season RL is soon and I must work.
This is the largest I have been since Casino crash and the size suits me plus it totally pays for itself(at the moment LOL) and my recent PC upgrade.

My question, this is the time when I get bored ,I fiddle with stuff, create new in sandboxes but that sucks.I swap items around but you can never be sure if you've got the right stuff out.
Can you ever see a time when you would be able to purchase prims from LL but keep the tier your happy with.I notice in some of the new SL clones you can get more but of course they don't have our numbers.
I need my prims.

In my opinion, not anytime soon, no, since the 15,000/sim limit has solid reasoning.

Increasing prim limit would cause more lag, not just server side, but also client side (Graphics lag), because the prim concentration would increase. On top of this, when you count in that avatars have tons of prims attached quite often, it wouldn't take much to totally kill a sim.

Increasing the limit a tiny bit wouldn't serve much purpose, I mean would it really be _that_ helpful to have an extra 100 prims per sim? No, not really. And if increasing it just a bit isn't too helpful, and increasing it more causes lag, possibly debilitating, then there isn't much in the way of happy medium.

15000 is actually a lot. You can always rent land plots without tiering up using services like Elanthius Flagstaff's Ninjaland provides, where you can rent tier, and so on, for smaller plots, but you're still gaining land, and the prim limit concentration doesn't change.

How about a prim trade then.My sim has 8 largish parcels and a couple of smaller ones, one of which I rent.I notice that none are anywhere near their limit and I appear to be the only business.
how about a system where I can rent the excess prims . I think I am clutching at straws LOL

That's really already possible, though easier to 'safely' execute on a private sim (Where land can always be controlled by a single resident).

Basically, just deed all the land to a single group, and have the renters join the group, with land modification, rezzing, etc, rights. Mark off parcels as normal (Create seperate parcels, perhaps mark them off with prims), and so on. Then, just say 'X person gets X prims. If you go over, I'll give you a warning, and you must go down, or I will return ALL prims, as this is easier than selecting the specific amount you're over". If someone is using less prims than they're allowed, and intends to be essentially done decorating, then you can allocate the excess to everyone else, as well.

It's easy to tell how many prims each person has, as the land tools provide this exact capability.

It's really quite a simple process, though I've never seen it done.. I think the issue is that people just don't trust each other enough, and think they're going to invade the other renters' space.

With this method, the land is still 'owned' by the person renting the land out, to keep it easy to divide the prims and so on, so the landlord would need to be pretty trustworthy, or understand that if they want people to keep renting from them, they need to be honest and fair.
