Is there any way to get rid of the blue color that indicates my things on the mini-map? It starts to get really annoying!

if you edit the colors.xml file found in C:\Program Files\SecondLife\skins\default and/or C:\Program Files\Secondlife\skins\silver as follows, you can have a more purplish color:

CODE

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes" ?>
- <settings version="101">
<NetMapYouOwnAboveWater value="128, 128, 255, 255" />
<NetMapYouOwnBelowWater value="128, 128, 255, 255" />
</settings>

These are just RGB values.

There's more settings regarding the color of objects on the minimap, for group owned objects etc. if you look at the colors_base.xml file.

Looks like you could change the last value, which is the opacity, the 255, to a lower value and make the coloring translucent, if you want.
