How long since "support@secondlife.com" worked for reporting problems?

I'm wondering how long it has been since emailing "support@secondlife.com" was a proper thing to do.

People get error messages saying to do that. I do seem to live in a bit of a timeless void, but it seems to me that is has been over a year since you could contact support by emailing support@secondlife.com.

Why in the world are there still error messages with this obsolete information?

Given that this is the same company who took nearly twice as long to get rid of all the references to "First Land" as they could, are you really surprised?

LL is not renowned for updating the paperwork ;)

It should be possible to do a text search in the source code and find the error messages with this out of date message and fix them.

This is within LL's reach. Granted it might not seem real important to them, but it should be really easy.

I think it's been two years since that email address worked. I'm not good with remembering dates though.

How long have we been using the filing support ticket system?

Anyone know if there a Jira issue filed to update the message? I see one where it is mentioned but correcting the message is not the point of the issue.

JIRA? Early 07, I think.

Ever since we had the support portal in May 2007.

It was much as much a void as tickets are now though so it's debatable whether it ever "worked" :p.

I don't know. I always send all my SL support issues to SuezanneCBaskerville@secondlife.com.
