I created a group the other day, paid and amended all the settings. I didn't want it to be shown in the group listings, or on my groups yet because I hadn't got the business ready that the group went with.

However, I was looking yesterday and it had vanished. So today I went to make it again but it says I can't because its already listed?! So how do I find this hidden group again? I created it so I should be able to find it and edit the settings shouldn't I?

Any help would be greafully recieved,

The group isn't appearing in your Group List?

In the IM window there are two tabs on the first page, Friends and Groups. Alternatively you can get to it through either File or Edit and then Groups (can't remember which one and I'm not inworld right now). This list should show all the groups you are a member of regardless of any privacy settings you've checked.

A group will not remain if it only has one member. Eventually you get a warning notice that your group will be disbanded if no one else signs up. I'm not sure how much time you get for this but if you created the group a week or so ago that might be the problem. It may have been deleted by LL but exists somewhere in the database so that name isn't available for re-use.

How many people were in the group, Ambrose? You need a minimum of two people, or the group gets closed after (I think) 48 hours - and you can't get it back.

Groups have to have a minimum number of members. Two I believe. Groups that don't have the minimum number of members get deleted after 48 hours.

If the two members and 48 hours aren't correct someone please correct me.

(makes a mental note to learn to type faster, LOL)

Aha, thanks guys, that was probably it. I was the only group member as I hadn't got everything else ready. Hmm, they could have made that know, my poor 100L

So will the name eventually be deleted too so i can recreate? I hope so!

The 2 people, 48 hours figures are correct. I have disbanded a few groups that I had created and in every occasion, once I was the only person in the group, I received an email from LL within a day or so, letting me know that I had another day or so before the group would be deleted.
