Hi all Is another resident allowed to access their own account using a machine and connection other than their own (assuming, of course, the proper client software is installed)? My significant other has a basic membership but no personal Net connection; would my partner accessing the grid from my IP land either of us in trouble? We are here to make friends and have fun, not land in hot water from the git-go . Insight on this would be appreciated, as always. Thanx.

Hi Alyx,
I think you are asking if you can access your SL account on a computer that is different from the one you usually use. Yes, you can. You sign on with your own name and password.
I often sign on with different computers when I'm traveling and it works fine.
So your friend can use your computer to access her account. However, if she does something that gets her banned, I think it will be not only her/his account that gets suspended but also your computer so tell her/him to be good!

Accessing your partners account from your computer is perfectly fine, as long as he or she has the account information i.e. username and password.

Partner is happy, ergo Lexi is happy. Life is good. Thank you for your amazingly prompt response.

Me and my s.o. do that all the time-I've used his computer, he has used mine....at a recent stay in a hotel, we both used the same IP with different comps and that wasn't a problem either.
