I am cross posting this from the blog since lengthy conversations are discouraged there:

With so many complaining that their items are rarely if ever seen as homepage featured, shouldn't those be the items that are displayed on the dashboard? Why are "popular" items receiving more exposure when there are people paying for exposure that are not getting it?

My suggestion: Remove the groups tab. Remove the tutorials tab if the resident is 1+ year old. Add 12 to 18 featured items and cycle through them just like they do on the Marketplace homepage. Add as many that can be seen without having to scroll down.

Make the L$ that residents are paying for featured items more cost effective for their businesses.

The ENTIRE Dashbored (tm) should be customizeable. 99% of that stuff is of little interest to me, groups, friendslist, etc. I want to be able to see only what I need to see. Until then, I won't use it. I have a direct link to my Account page and this forum. That's all I need.

A drag and drop interface like the Wordpress Control Panel would be ideal.
