Question on Tier Fee

My tier fee for my Island Sim was due yesterday. In the past... the balance of what is due would come directly from my Paypal account (which has a $75 balance at this time) and in turn whatever is left over will withdraw directly from my checking account which has plenty in the balance to cover the tier. I have also taken the paypal limit off for all Linden withdrawals.

This morning I received an email from LL that states they were unable to bill my Second Life account on March 6, 2009 and to review all my billing account information etc. I double checked my paypal account and my bank account and all is as it should be so there should be no reason for their billing not to work. And the weird thing is (don't know if this is normal) but there is no record of any kind that Linden Research even tried to bill in my Paypal history. The $75.00 balance is still there too. Under the Linden Balance Summary on my Accounts page, in the US Dollar Amount it has the tier amount of $295 in red which I assume is a minus balance.

My question is this...if I just go ahead and buy the tier amount through LindenX and bring the US Dollar Amount up to zero (by putting the $295 in it) will that take care of my problem? There is no reason the payment should not have worked in the first place so Im a little worried about what will happen.

Try entering your bank details again or raise a ticket with support, or even do both.

I got the same email yesterday, even though I have enough US$ in my SL account. I went ahead and check my Paypal agreement anyways. All was as it should. I assumed it's just another error message from LL billing. This morning my tier was correctly deducted from my SL acct.
If you're really concerned, you should give billing a call.

I'm thinking it must be an error on LL's billing side also. I will give it another day and see what happens tomorrow. If it is still a problem, I will give them a call then. I just wish if they are having problems with their billing... they would at LEAST post it in the status. That was the first place I checked when I got the message. It sure would save their customers much piece of mind if they did so.

There was just something the other day on the web site about billing problems! I would refresh your billing info.......but I definitely saw a blurb on this site about some billing glitches.
(funny....our bank just did the exact same thing to us on our mortgage!!! my fiancee is liiiiivid!)

I would wait a day before getting worried.

This has happened to me a few times. It's purely down to some glitch when LL goes to hit the card. It's always gone through the next day without me having to do anything.
