Hi - Is there a way to take a snapshot without going into the "I just took a picture" Pose. Thanks.

Screengrab?

On Macs it's Command + Shift + 3, or Command + Shift + 4 to crop a specific area.

I don't know what it is on a PC.

But you shouldn't buy a PC anyway... cause Windows sux.

I don't go into that pose, but then I always use the shortcut for taking pictures - that might be the key. Shortcut is the 'ctrl' key and the ` symbol together (that symbol is sometimes called a backwards quote or tick mark - on a regular pc keyboard it is to the left of the number 1 across the top).

Edited: Nope that is not the reason cuz I just took a snapshot with the screen controls and still did not go into that pose -- and I do not remember how I stopped it as it has been way too long.

Enable the Advanced menu with the CTRL-ALT-D keys (Windows).

Under Advanced, check "Quiet Snapshot to Disk" to disable the sound and animation.

just like a mac user to miss the question..
i believe to stop the animation when you take a picture..you have to go into the advanced menu..
if you don't have that it is ctrl alt D to open the advanced menu..i'll have to go look at see where the exact setting it but it's in there someplace..

and stick with PC..because we have more than one OS we can use where the other guys .well you know... one dimensional :D

Um, guys... it's as simple as the Print Screen button.

Just hit it and it takes a screen shot.

The SL snapshot commands are a lot more versatile than Print Screen.

you can't make in game sculptie maps doing it with print screen and you lose out on a lot of the options for nicer photos as well ;)
