What i mean by that is i accidently chose a girl body to start out with can i possibly change that?

Yes. Go into "Edit Appearance" and on the first tab that comes up, which is "Shape", there are radio buttons near the bottom to choose Female or Male. Just choose Male instead.

right click on your self, choose appearance.
Once in the edit appearance box, choose Shape, and there will be a thing you can choose whether it is a Male or Female shape. Or if you already have a female shape in your inventory, just right click it and choose to wear it. The same goes for skins and clothing. Check in your Library folder in your inventory. I'm not sure how good the stuff in there is, but there is definitely a choice of avatars you can choose from. _____________________

Very easy, right click your avatar and "Appearance".
Somehwere on there it will give the option to change avatar gender, male or female. And from there, just make all the other adjustments... You can change gender anytime, the only real adjustments would be clothing and hair... HA! If you wanted you could even make your avatar look like Micheal Jackson, if you have the skills to do something that hideous |

There are full avatars in the library clothing folder to get appropriate clothes.

I personally love wearing male skins with make up, its the whole rocky horror picture show thing I guess. "Let's do the time warp."
Seriously though there some complete very nice new male skins in the inventory. Welcome to SL. Gender changes here aren't big deal even if its a accident. _____________________
