What do people do with extra tier?

Like quite a few out there I imagine, I needed *juuuuust* a little more tier, and had to bump from the 32k to the 65k land tier fees. However, since I'm not really wanting to buy more land to use up the remainder (and it's too expensive), it just sits there not doing anything. I've helped out a few friends with donations to their groups, but there's still quite a bit of it left.

What do people usually do with excess tier? Does anybody "rent" it out successfully, or anything like that? It'd be nice to get a little back from having to pay an extra $75 a month, when all I needed was less than a quarter of what it gave me.

Anyway, I did a search and didn't come up with anything about this topic, so I thought I'd post and see how others are handling this kind of thing.

Thanks in advance.

I think Prok and Elanthius have some kind of arrangement with tier, if it's donated to a group - you would have to ask them.

Tier is pretty valuable because with enough of it, it starts accruing tier discount - a whole bunch in one place is worth more than bits and pieces the way region pricing is structured.

I have rented excess tier to the Land Ninjas - search for the group "Supreme Flock of Land Ninjas" and contact the group owner and they will set you up. Payouts are usually on Monday mornings/Sunday nights, depending where you are located.

Donate it to the Arbopr Project Group. They buy up those adfarmer 16Meter plots and give them to mainland landowners.

sounds like you only use a small percentage of the new tier level, besides renting the ninjas your excess "points" you could consider tiering down and rent what you needed (above your last tier) from them.

I get my payout Tuesday evenings (GMT)... I think it depends on when you first donate tier since that ties in with my payments.

NCI used to ask for tier donations. Not sure if Carl has all he needs right now, but if not that would be a good donation project.

UPDATE: I decided to go with the Ninjas. For others who are interested and have been reading this thread, as of this posting they offer 0.15 Lindens per square meter of tier.
