i purchased a product that is mod/tran right before the holidays
after taking it out of its box so i could put it into a nice gift box for a friend a sound inside one of the pieces became no tran so i could not pass it to my friend
the creator sent me a fresh one and the same thing happened again
when i see the product in her box its mod/tran just like advertised
but something is happening when i take it out of its box and rez it in my home
anyone else had this difficulty?

can the creator attempt to send you one of them in a folder rather than a box? It would be easier i think. but i have never had this problem before.

no copy? if it's no copy isn't that just the same as no trans, maybe you have to send it straight on without rezzing it

There are some bugs right now with permissions, some are very old.. One of them is that permissions set by right clicking on them in inventory sometimes get changed when the item is rezzed in world..
If it is a new item this may be happening.. You might ask the creator to take a look with an alt to see if the permissions are being reset upon transfer. Also any scripts or items contained with the object also must have the transfer set or the object will not be transferable, but may not show that way in your inventory...
It is a common problem for creators to hunt down and find the one script that has the wrong permissions in a complex build that is messing up the permissions.. And as a creator you have to go in and look at each one in a rezed item to find them.. Why most all of us have alts we can just hand an item to check out the permissions.
If it is none of those things you may just be stuck with a bugged item.. And have to give it to the other person directly from inventory and not "repackaged"

the creator has been awesome she reset the permissions on the one wav file in 1 prim of the object and then reboxed it and sent it to me all is fine now
she has been selling this item for 3 yrs this is the first time its happend..well twice i guess but both with me lol
