Get something like Skype, MSN or Yahoo Messenger that you can all join, its a good idea anyway in case you cant log into SL at anytime

I have a gmail account under my SL name, and so do my favorite SL people. It has an integrated IM function that works really well, so we use that. Nice thing about it - no download for IT to spot

it's called SL_POP3_IM ... from what i can see it uses your same email account that you use for SL. Have not tried it myself yet .... If anyone has would love some feedback on it. |

For me I just IM my sweet heart from my laptop and she replies by logging into her webmail and replying that way...
Adding to the question is there any persistent address you could email to and have it go to their IM? I noticed the email hash changes every day... perhaps an anti-stalking feature. |
