Noob question here.
I purchased a dance ball from a club but when I try to drag it onto the ground from my inventory, I get the message about landowner not allowing object creation.
I've tried wearing, attaching but that doesn't seem to work either.
Do I need to get a HUD or something?
Thanks!! Roxie

that means that you are on no rezz land. you need to go to land where you have rights to set them down to use them... or the proper group to allow you to set them down where you are. Once you set them down, you *sit* on them to use them ~Brie

If you want to use your own dances where you can't rez balls, there are other ways. You can simply take out the dance animations and 'play them inworld', buy a chimera or other similar attachment. Huddles is a good hud that you can add dances, aos etc.

From: Brieanne Bomazi Once you set them down, you *sit* on them to use them Well... the OP said "dance ball", not poseball, so more likely you just touch it, it asks permission to animate your avatar, and then it plays the dance animations in sequence until you touch it again, or something similar. Of course, it *could* be a dance poseball instead, and one bit of evidence in favor of that theory is that it didn't work when attached. Chims and danceballs are very similar devices, so if it didn't work when attached (and touched), it could well be just a poseball. The main point of both danceballs and chims is to hold lots of dance animations and to let lots of people use the same animations at the same time without each one needing a separate copy of those (often expensive) animations. The basic danceball/chim scripting is fairly straightforward (with some clever variants), so the big investment is generally the animations inside, not the scripted device itself. Anyway, it's good advice to go somewhere you can rez stuff--even just a public sandbox--rez the thing, and see what it does, and what's inside.
