Hi
I wondered if anyone could tell me whether there is a way to be on Sl in 'Invisible Mode'? I don't mean literally 'invisible' but where your online status is totally hidden from people? I know you can remove yourself from the people search engine which is fine for general purposes but I am also aware that there are tracking scripts/devices available which can tell you if someone is online even if they aren't on your friends list and some can even email you when you are offline to let you know the other person's logging in and out times, etc. Is there a way around this? Is there a way of knowing whether you are being tracked in this way? and lastly, is there a way of scanning an area to see if there are any of the tracking devices there? I know I sound paranoid lol..but I have my reasons!

From: Rebekkah Hancroft I wondered if anyone could tell me whether there is a way to be on Sl in 'Invisible Mode'? In a word: No! There are always ways to check on your online status. From: Rebekkah Hancroft Is there a way of knowing whether you are being tracked in this way? Not to my knowledge. From: Rebekkah Hancroft ... is there a way of scanning an area to see if there are any of the tracking devices there? You can check for scripted devices in your vicinity, but checking another resident's online status does not require these. Create and use an alt if you feel the need to be in-world unrecognised.

From: someone and lastly, is there a way of scanning an area to see if there are any of the tracking devices there? Nope. You can tell that an object is scripted, but not what it is really doing.
