Is there a way to get a text file of your inventory list?

This is probably not possible, but does anyone know of a way to get a text file of the names of all the items in your inventory and their permissions. Even copying the text on screen and pasting would be great. If I can get a list into a spread sheet, just as you see it on screen, I can sort it more easily and figure out unnecessary duplicates and what I can and cannot share with an alt. Or perhaps there's a gadget that might do this? I may have asked this before. If so, sorry. The memory starts to go . . .

I have a vague notion that SLeek and Ajax both let you see a better view of your inventory than SL- and there is an app you can download that definitely lets you see stuff- btu for the life of me I can't recall what its called- it does not however let you manipulate ur inventory. What is needed is a Windows (maybe Mac has better too- but i don't know Mac-) interface than SL has.

This could be the Holy grail i have been seeking to help me sort out my VERY chaotic Inventory , As hard as i try to keep on top of it i still find i have stuff from way back that i know will never be any use to me again .... so this could be the answer ! But being the paranoid obbsessive inventory keeper that i am and having a hell of a lot of builds that would make me want to hurt small animals if i lost them .... Im a bit worried to use this type of thing ... Just in case Allso .... It needs your login details and password ... Is it safe ? Anyone use this and know that its the tool to end all my inventory woe's ? .... and not being hacked after using it ?...I would love to hear from you / me strokes my inventory .... hating it .... but loving it at the same time

From: Lostmedia Ares Allso .... It needs your login details and password ... Is it safe ? It is open source, and is nothing but an alternative client cut down to only work with inventory - not a web service. I haven't been hacked so far. It might not be as powerful as you expect, but yes, it does let you get the inventory list, which is what the OP asked for.

Most amazing link. I will try it on a seldom used alt first of course, but I agree this could be an invaluable resource toward cleaning up those awful inventories. Just having a list outside of the world could be a huge help if I can figure out how to import it the way I'm imagining. Thanks very much!

That program crashes for me, and crashed when I tried it a good while ago.

It crashes on two different computers, both of which have .Net 2 installed.
It's possible there is something wrong with the program.

OMG - this looks like it may be the absolute best thing I could have hoped to see in a very long time. I have wanted very badly to have something that could help me better manipulate my inventory that did not involve having 10 inventory windows open. In my opinion, any tools of this type are much better than the current "nothing" that we have now.

This time around I've been using it in the mode where you connect to SL, rather than the import existing inventory file mode, I'll see if the import mode works.
It is supposed to have a search by creator key mode.
Starax Statosky's key is 398de399-28e6-424e-b580-66538ead0f06 , if you can trust w-hat.
Anyone find any lost Starax's?

Ok - Windows is most definitely NOT my tech specialty. I go to the site Rika posted, then click the link for the .Net download. This seems to give me a choice and I have not a clue. Which thing from that page do I want to download? My PC is a Dell 630 XPS with XP Pro OS.
Nevermind - hubby knows a tad more about that crap than me, so he figured it out for me.
