Sim craziness-Is it the sim, or is it SL?

I'm starting to notice many strange things with the sim that I lease, above named.

1. Tenants in a skybox always land in skybox with their knees buckled and feet in the platform. Only thing that fixes it is TPing out.

2. Other tenants not being able to TP out of the sim.

3. My avatar was stuck on the parcel for 7 hours the other night, despite the fact that I was, in fact, signed offline.

4. Currently, several buildings that I put on the land over the weekend, have disappeared and in one case, only parts of the buildings have disappeared, while the products within those buildings are still there. Other people see this phenomenon as well.

I have reset the sim, and this is still happening. It's a class 5 server (or so I was told when I leased it). Is it possible that this sim is on a server that's going bad?

This has been going on over several days though, not just today, although the buildings thing is today.

the sim where my brother and his partner live (Sicily?) had a sim quake last week. Things missing, walls out of alignment, etc. Their house had to be rebuilt...

Honeybear,

The only one I can answer is number 1. I have that same problem every time I go to my skybox, which is pretty much all the time. The way to fix it is to sit and then stand up. Then my knees no longer buckle and my feet aren't in the floor.

What Bradley said. It's a common bug.

1. Is it the same spot? Might be something to do with fengshui. Just shift the tp point or the stuffs around that spot.

2. Have been happening frequently lately. TP to mainlands are smooth and if you are getting to another island, TP to a mainland first then to the island.

3. Thats the sign of not logging off gracefully. Server not acknowledging your logging off message. Usually a sim restart or an IM will fix that.

4. No idea about this. If you could repro the effects at will, then better to JIRA the issue.

Its not just the SIM im sure its SL in general. Over the last week or so, we've had many small issues that come and go. Double TP's is fab...tp somewere, arrive, then i get tp'd there again, invariably crashing in the process. Constantly crashing (tongiht its been AWFUL-like every 5 mins) Cant rez objects for periods of time...get mangled into a mess when using pose balls...freezing for a few seconds...then coming back....tp'ing to a skyhome, only to get to the land below it , not the home...vendors playing up with deliveries...nothing appearing when i arrive-including people...for agesssssss. Ive tried pretty much everything my end (and im no dork with pc's) and ive come to the conclusion its Sl...fiddling about with stuff at the moment.

In answer to the buckled leg thing...yes sit and stand it goes..i always place a notice in the homes i rent to explain this to people (then remove the notice when its rented) saves time and trouble of explaining and possibly scaring potential residents off who think theres a problem with my home :)

I had the *lost in time* thing a few weeks ago..signed out, but was still showing as there. SL tried a few things for me..i kept on reinstalling the whole thing, which worked until i signed off and was stuck again...then asked for a sim restart..that worked :) I think its just one of those *borked for a while* type of scenarios...im giving up and going to bed...cant be doing with the crashing about in greyness lol

just popped into mind

if the tenant keeps getting stuck with the weird legs, raise the TP point 1 meter higher, say if it says 501, raise it to 503 err 502

I solve this by keeping a pose stand in my sky boxes and just hopping onto it in "stand" and then dismounting. An ancient avitar showd me that trick yonks ago when I was a cute button of a thing. :)
