How's your performance lately? How do you check on your sim to see what is lagging it down the most? I am a moron when it comes to all things technical.

I think SL as a "whole" is laggier today.

Yes, but isn't there a way to scan you land for specific laggy objects? Mystitool, maybe. It has all kinds of stuff I haven't looked at yet. _____________________

As a sim owner there are certain estate tools you can use to check the number of scripts running and see which ones consume the most resources. Unfortunately as I do not own an estate, nor have management powers over one, I cannot tell you exactly what they are.
My apologies. _____________________

I think SL as a "whole" is laggier today. I've had a couple of sims go down as I was *gasp* shopping. One of which was lagged to a halt anyways and I was about to teleport out. _____________________

Here's the wiki on improving region performance:
http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Region_Performance_Improvement_Guide#Remove_Top_Scripts? Mostly the wiki page is motherhood, but its advice on looking at top scripts and collisions in a region is helpful, if your region seems to be having issues Ray. Sometimes previously inoffensive scripts go wild on region restarts or packet loss, and sometimes residents unwittingly rez things that cause mondo collisions. I was inworld today and didn't notice any unusual lag. |

Some regions were *very* laggy today. For example, parts of Caledon were hit hard, even with very few people inside.
No idea why. Only the LL gods will know ... ![]() |

I'm experiencing lots of lag, people not rezzing or taking forever, blah, blah, blah. I'm hearing others saying the same. Glad it's only Sunday and hope the grid monkeys get to it tomorrow before holiday on Tuesday.
