Why am i paying?

Why am i paying about i think, 5.99, it shows VAT but if i didnt have payment details on, they couldnt do that is that fair? i dont own land, im not premium at mo, i dont understand.

When you say you're not premium at the moment, were you ever premium? I'm guessing that you maybe paid up your account in advance, and the VAT is charging from that?

I used to be premium, but cancelled for free membership to pay for another game : Star Wars galaxies, but i got bored, so came back on sl, but still not switched back to premium, id been playing star wars for a good month, so i have not got a clue about the VAT

That's weird. Is Linden Lab actually charging your credit card? Maybe it's just a leftover glitch on the website. If they ARE charging you, I would absolutely open up a support ticket, here:

If for whatever reason, it won't let you submit a ticket as a basic user, I would call LL. Their billing department is open all the time. Here's that info:

If you cancelled your premium only a month ago, did you own land before? If you owned 1024m² from mid-November through mid-December then you would get a $5 (+VAT) charge now for the 512m² tier you used in the last 30 days.
