Seriously stuck, help!

Since there aren't any posts here about SL being down, I'm thinking that the problem might be with the zone I'm in.

I teleported to Xylo Furniture and the initial animation was like falling from a great height, although I was only a few feet above the ground, this took a long time. The zone was incredibly slow to load.

Now I'm stuck. I can turn around and use my camera to zoom, but that's about it. I can't teleport out (message says that's it's taking too long). When I relog, I return to the same place. I see some people in the distance, but they did not answer my IM.
Currently, more people are teleporting in and they all seem to be as stuck as I am. It is not possible to talk to them, although chats appear on the screen as normal.

When I try to fly out I move very slowly and when I stop flying it takes a long time to "fall" to the ground again. I'd say this zone is seriously knackered.

What the heck do I do now??

On the log in screen, type in the name of another region. Allana is one to try.

Relog but set it to log you in to "Home". If you haven't set that it will log you into a welcome area. You can also completely exist SL client and look for a slurl and click on it, it will ask you if you want to launch SL - say yes. There are SLurls in this forum. Hopefully someone will include a link to a non-laggy sim.

I have noticed, lately, that Allana has been very laggy. I actually had to download the latest Windlight viewer just to go to the party at the forum hangout last night (Windlight is more stable for me).

oh, i think Allana is one of the laggiest sims i go to. it's awful!
