Hi Delilah;

What type of outfits do you want? Skimpy silks? SL is lousy with silks (they're everywhere).

If you want a slightly more covered up version, Zaara has some nice ones in her store that could work. Look upstairs at one of her stores - the main store doesn't have the sale ones - and you will find ones for something like 150 Linden each. They're very nice quality. Midriff top and long skirt. Different colors. She has gorgeous saris, too, if anyone (else) reading this wants to look.

As for free furniture, try Yadni's junk yard, or Alady Island.

I'm not sure what you mean by "Gothic romance" furniture but sometimes heavy medieval or dungeon-y things work for goth. Try Gorean Free Market and Freebie Dungeon.

I haven't seen any long nightgowns in game. Just short nighties or teddies or babydoll lingerie, that type of thing. And childish looking pajamas. But again, a lot of the freebie malls will have nighties and lingerie, even shoes. Since the theme on the other things is 'free' I imagine you prefer free clothes too.

Oh and there are freebie blogs, definitely check those out. Just google 'second life freebie'.

BareRose has a cheap and nicely crafted all-prim sculpty bellydancer outfit. Comes in 4 colors.

I think you can find some stuff in Gorean shops, if you want silks. I am not sure how much covering you want. Here's a Gorean gridwide hunt, with pictures. You can see if some of this is suitable: http://huntoutfits.blogspot.com/2009/05/gorean-grid-wide-hunt-may-9th-to-may.html

Bare Rose is already mentioned. I have their prim set, but it's a bit hard to modify if you are totally new to adjusting prims. I haven't tried to dance in it. Not sure how it moves. They have an awesome gypsy outfit called "Ida". Their prizes is 130-150 L for whole sets with several colors and accessories. http://toriheart.blogspot.com/
Bare Rose has goth clothing too. They have all you can imagine... leather, latex, sweet pastels, everyday wear, huge gowns, roleplay and fantasy themed clothing.

For more tibetian style, try to search for "Yak & Yeti". I am not sure if they still exist. http://yak-and-yeti.blogspot.com/2008/03/yak-yak-yak-in-w-w-w.html

Solange has some of the best silks and arabic themed outfits IMHO. http://solangefashions.blogspot.com/ (absolutely not free, but they have some to reduced prizes)

Free furniture is not easy to find. But I am picky. I hope some else help you with it.

You don't need chests and armoirs to store clothes in. You just put it in your home because it looks good. You make new folders in your inventory and name it with type of outfits or other stuff, like "Jeans", "Gowns" "Y&Y jewellery". You can have so much you want there... and all your furniture too when you move or you want to change your home.

When you buy new stuff, you drag the new purchases to the new folders you made, or make new folders. Beware, if you don't do this every time you buy new stuff, you end up with a messy inventory like mine...

I just saw a silk in Diamond midnight mania board. You click it, and if the number of avatars that's preset by the shop owner is reached my midnight, all that's registred on the board get the silk for free! Search for Diamond. secondlife://Gilvaria/191/72/126.

It's looking good, covers more than a bit of dental floss :)

Chaospire do a nice belly-dancing outfit which includes (relatively) modest and immodest versions.

I haven't seen any either, and I think it's because they basically don't work given the technical limitations of SL. SL skirts aren't the right shape, so they're out. You can't make a prim gown that would drape properly and not end up inside your body half the time as you move. You can make things that drape from the bosom and go to hip level, or from waist or hips and go to the floor, but not from bosom to floor.

I forgot that you asked about a nightgown.

You can go to xstreetsl.com and type in "nightgown" in search. Be sure to click that you want to see mature content. I am sure that even the modest nightgowns would be labeled as mature. You can search xstreetsl for all you want, clothes, hair, skin and furniture.

I can say the same as the other said... it's hard to make a realistic nightgown but there's some with empirewaist or babydoll skirts. Here's a nightgown that I totally loved... the picture isn't showing it clear. But then you visit the shop inworld. I know this is a good shop, I have 3-4 outfits from them. And they have lucky chairs. ;)
