http://blog.secondlife.com/2008/04/29/new-highway-routes-ldpw-poll/ So, do roads even matter anymore? Do you use them? From: someone So our gangs of skilled Moles are ready with the components to expand the Second Life road network. We’ll try to match the roads to the terrain, and to the existing road styles … but our eager little insectivores have some creative ideas, too. For the first wave of expansion, we’ve identified half a dozen routes in the “Atoll” continent. Here are the proposed routes and the survey. Make your choice! We’ll give the survey until at least Friday to run, and then we’ll put the LDPW to work. Wave when you see a mole in a distinctive orange vest, and remember to “give ‘em a brake” when you’re driving in a construction zone.

From: Oryx Tempel Hooray for new roads!!! I have seen people asking them to get back on construction for awhile now. Good to see they didn't just abandon the whole idea.

... for the old, highly developed continent, blowing off the four other continents they've put in place in the last year. But hey, at least it's some form of progress.

That's my continent, Cristalle. That aging continent was almost brand new when I biought my land there and we've been waiting for at least two years for some roads. So, I'm glad they are starting off with the older continents first instead letting the new and spiffy ones jump in line ahead of us. If I'm judging the placement of the roads correctly, it looks like I'll have two road merge at the southern boundary of my land Heck, I might even see someone once in a while when they build it.

I'm happy for you, Peggy, it's just that the landmass has exploded and they could spread that love around a little more. Bay City is off one of the old continents, near Barcola (which already has a road system that extends into other sims) and now here come five routes on the old continent, when the vast majority of folks don't live there. I am pretty meh about it, and I'll remain meh about it until I see they give the newer places some attention.

From: Macphisto Angelus So, do roads even matter anymore? Do you use them? Yes and yes! I've walked them, ridden my horse on em. gone on tricycles, bicycles, and scooters along then, piloted spaceships over them, and even just flew above them. Mari
