hey im getting my new computer nextweek and i need to know if this graphics card
256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600GT-DDR3
will work, i cant afford the gts one right now, so im hoping it will work.

Sounds good to me, theres a list at the bottom of the homepage I think, Where the TOS/CS are, saying minimum requirements. I'm pretty sure that's gonna be fine =) I run mine on a GeForce 7600 GS I think & it's great. G something anyways lol. Thinking that's gonna be no probs at all

Just checked, mines a GeForce 7600 GS, works perfectly =) Yours is gonna be just fine!

Ioki, If this is a laptop your considering with an 8600 M GT , check out the MAC forum,
The Apple MAC BOOK PRO'S (MBP)with this card are having all kinds of problems, ( I know I have one) , related to graphics drivers and the Apple OS, but many MBP owners are running Vista on the same laptop and reporting great performance with the window's drivers using the 8600M GT.

I run Second Life on two PCI-E Nvidea GeForce 8600 GTS 256Mb GDDR3 in SLi configuaration without problem. For SL, SLi is normally disabled so that I can run a second monitor. Hope this is useful  |
