Poseball Peculiar Problem Poser!?!

I have lil Ballroom open to Public but all of a sudden some of my Poseballs have gone funny. The ones that have gone haywire where bought from bits n bobs. One set is registering script error after I had it for over a year now! The others have half the poseball missing and usually when that happened, I would highlight transparent and click them and they would re-appear but this time they still remain invisible.

Is this dodgy scripting, floating to the surface being exposed ? Have LL gone and done something rash? Or is it more than likely I have to go and buy Romantic Poseballs elsewhere, if so can anyone recommend a GOOD and RELIABLE place.

Otherwise the wonderful romantics visiting my place gonna be dissapointed....eeek!

You'll have a difficult task finding a better, more reliable creator than Craig Altman. (No offence to the many other fine animators.) If it comes to needing to contact him, I'm confident he would help, but it's pretty difficult to imagine that there's a serious problem with those scripts, given that there have been thousands of copies of them on the grid for years. So, I'm inclined to try to figure out on our own what's going on here.

Before speculating: What errors is the script throwing, and when?

[ETA: Paid a visit to the site... couldn't get the script error, but see what you mean about some of the paired poseballs. Just based on the fact that the most b0rked ones are what would ordinarily be the root prim of the pair, I'm guessing that the scripts at least need a reset after having been linked differently at some point. Indeed, there are two applications here where the pairs are linked to an llTargetOmega()-spinning root prim; I've never actually tried that with these poseballs, but I can see where that could confuse a sync script that assumed it was running in the root prim. Perhaps someone else has done that and knows whether it works.

Oh, by the way, "/1show" still works, but there's still something else wrong with the scripts, hence the suggestion to try a reset, on that non-root-prim linkage hunch.]

[ETA2: Oh, also, need to Set Scripts Running, in addition to Reset Scripts in Selection; pretty sure whatever error it encountered has halted some of the scripts in these now.]

Ok.. Will try to reset and re-run the Scripts. If that fails then it looks like a new set of Poseballs for the Ballroom.

I'll agree with Qie. The Bits and Bobs pose balls are among the best and most reliable. It sounds like some sort of sim-level scripting problem has temporarily borked your scripts. a script reset and making sure the scripts are running sounds like the best solution.

I tested some B&B pose balls in my own sim, and they work fine.

If you end up looking for new poseballs, I personally find the vMotional (used to be Sinamatic ) ones among the best these days.

I cannot even select reset and run scripts on the borked poseballs. The area is greyed out.
I dont have this issue with non bits n bob poseballs. I always had bits n bobs poseballs constantly going invisible on me time to time, and I had to make them visible again but this time its like major bork time. This is only on ballroom1 and slow dance5 poseballs.

pick them up and replace them back on to your dance floor..the scripts usually re-set themselves at that point.

Ahhh, dance poseballs rather than cuddle ones. If you need to replace them, there are at least 3 or 4 places that make dances much better. I'll send you a few store names when I get inworld in a bit.
