I noticed on my transactions for yesterday that a Linden stopped by my store in Nordica and picked up a freebie igloo, however, there was no record of a Linden ever being on my land via my visitor list maker. This got me to thinking about the possibility that Lindens may not be real. Like vampires casting no reflection in a mirror, Lindens often leave no trace of their presence or whereabouts.
Now, I'm not one to normally be paranoid, but I got to wondering if this could have been a Linden scout before a full blown invasion of Nordica? Could parts of the grid be imperiled by an impending Linden takeover of the entire grid? Will we as SL residents be taken prisoner and pressed into a medieval feudal form of servitude in the near future? Perhaps today it is merely Nordica, and you're thinking crazy TundraFire is on a bizarre rant this morning, but tomorrow it may be your sim, your home. Your avatar.
I shudder to think this could only be the beginning...

Oh, they run around in invisible mode all the time. You can see them, but they don't show on scanners and stuff if they don't want you to.
End of the day though, nobody can hide from the sim performance stats...

I shudder to think this could only be the beginning... I believe this actually occurred in the DaBoom region in 2003. That's where the Lindens first entered this place and it was the first region they gridded with their proprietary technology. The invasion is over. The Lindens have already laid claim to this world.

Most likely it's what Desmond said, but keep in mind that anyone can buy things from your store without actually going inside, just by camming in. (Of course, they can't do this if your shop -- and your scanner -- covers a whole region and you're on an isolated island.) BTW, isn't this really a Linden non-sighting?

I sold a boat to one the other week. Did not see him but paid up and showed up on my list.
I was cruising around Blake sea the other day in the same boat and got into trouble and semi sank LOL. Hope I haven't drowned a Linden.

Happened to me too. I was thrilled to see a Linden name on my transactions page who bought a couple of items and returned late that night for one more thing. But she didn't show on my visitor list. Made me wonder if Lindens have special "powers" to buy stuff without tping to ones store?

Like Desmond said, they have an invisible mode that prevents all the scanners and detectors and visitor counters etc. from seeing them.
You can be standing next to them, talking with them, and they don't show up on your Mysti / radar at all.

One linden likes to use the sky of my sandbox to float in while he is doing whatever it is he is doing. I'm sure he just chose it out of random.
With god mode on theres no green dot on the minimap or anything. But plenty of times I have been the only person in the sim, noticed sim stats said two and flown up above the clouds. Sure enough there he is.

In God Mode a Linden is no longer an AGENT. Sensors can be set to scan for AGENT, SCRIPTED, PHYSICAL and/or PASSIVE. God Mode means they are none of the above and are "invisible".
