I can't seem to upload images at all today, keep getting server error messages. Anyone else having this problem?

I haven't tried yet today, but I've been having major issues all week with rezzing, movement, anything really.

I uploaded some in SL about an hour ago without any trouble.

BTW, anyone know if standing in a different sim helps with this?

It can. It depends on what's causing the problem.

If a sim is malfunctioning, uploads and downloads might not work from within it. In that case, moving to a different sim would clear it up, at least on your end.

If it's a centralized problem, though, like if the asset server is on the fritz (again), or if the network is falling apart (again), then it will affect all of SL, globally. When that happens, it doesn't matter where you are.

Also, if the problem is on your end, or somewhere on the Internet in between you and SL, then the sim won't matter either.

Did you check the status page? There were multiple posts today about database problems, and disruptions of in-world services. Uploads weren't mentioned specifically, but where there's smoke...

I'd highly recommend subscribing to the RSS feeds for the status page and the Linden blog. That way, you'll always have the latest news from LL, right at the top of your browser.
